The Calendar Grill is the high end version of the ever so popular Marie Calendars. They serve liquor, and have a higher end selection of food. Usually on this site, we like to spot light restaurants that aren’t chains, but this place is eff’n grrreat. Word to Tony The Tiger (credit: Retro). First of all, instead of bread before your meal, they give you…. corn bread. Sweet Cord Bread, with honey and butter on top. Le Sigh. It was so damn good! Im not sure, but maybe our waiter heard me trippin on the fact that the place even had corn bread on the menu in the first place. Maybe thats why they brought out corn bread, instead of the regular bread most places do. Or maybe Im just still surprised that this place had such good corn bread.
If you managed to miss where I mentioned that this place serves liquor, let me mention it again. Not only do they have liquor but they have mojitos. Strong ass mojitos. Four different kinds. I had the Caribbean version, if I remember correctly. It was pretty good, could have been sweeter, but it was pretty good. As the Unofficial Mojito Critic of Los Angeles, I recommend throwing a few back. Dont think youre gonna drive home after even 1 though. At least not immediately. This place is great for after a movie for before a movie at The Bridge. Drinks or a meal or both.

My main course was the Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken and Broccoli. Probably some of the best Ive ever had. The End. Ive had this same meal all over this city. Hell, even in other states. Top 3. For sure. My over all experience at this place was great. Good corn bread, good drink, good food, great company, the place is laid out really nice. The service was great. I forget our waiters name but he was cool.
